The recommended way to clean your anal douche bulb is to first separate the tip from the bulb and then wash each piece with warm water and soap. Once you’re done, please dry both pieces off and store them in a cool, dry place in between uses.
How often can I douche safely? +
When using an appropriate solution, like the ones Future Method has developed, people can douche safely on a regular basis. We always recommend being gentle with yourself while douching to prevent injury.
Should you use an anal cleaner after sex as well? +
This is a personal choice. Some people use an anal cleaner after sex as a means to cleanse any excess excrement and/or lubricant used during play. The purpose of the solution is not only for you to feel confident before, but also walk away feeling refreshed and soothed after.
What is the difference between an enema and a douche? +
People often use the terms enemas and douches interchangeably, but they're actually different products used for very different purposes. An enema is typically reserved for medical applications (like preparing for a surgery or to treat Crohn's) or as a last result for cases of severe constipation. On the other hand, a douche is strictly used to cleanse the rectum. It should not elicit a bowel movement, nor is it meant to, because it only washes out the distal rectum.
